Google Meet videoconferencing app users will be able to start or accept video calls right by Gmail, starting this Thursday for desktop users and later this month for mobile users, as reported by The Verge.
G Suite customers will be able to choose which communication mean will be most convenient for the tasks on hand and switch seamlessly between them. Google Meet is part of G Suite which is offered to businesses, education and nonprofit organizations.
According to Reuters, Google also announced other functionalities that will be added later this month. Up to 16 meeting participants views can be shown in one panel at once. Video quality will be improved under dim light condition and there will be better background noise cancellation.
Google has previously announced it has extended the enterprise features of Google Meet to all G Suite Basic, Business, Education and Nonprofit customers for six months up to 30 Sep 2020.
